How to play Guess the Legend
Guess the Legend is a daily football puzzle — a Wordle for football fans. Every day there is one mystery legend to find, and you have eight tries. After each guess the board tells you how close you are: the era (which decade the player belongs to), the position, and each of the six attributes (pace, shooting, passing, dribbling, defending, physical). Green means an exact match, and the arrows tell you whether the mystery player's stat is higher or lower than your guess.
Use the clues to narrow it down. If the era comes back green you know the decade; if the position is a near-match you know the line (defence, midfield or attack). A high dribbling and pace profile points to a winger; a huge defending number points to a centre-back. Everyone in the world gets the same legend each day, so you can compare your score with friends and share your result grid.
A new football legend every day
The puzzle draws from 130 football legends spanning every era, from the icons of the 1960s to today's superstars. Because the answer is tied to the date, the game resets at midnight and a fresh legend appears — one career per day, saved in your browser. It is a quick, free, no-login way to test how well you really know the greats of the game.
